Are Unicorns Critters?

Our family took part in the great “Are hotdogs a sandwich?” debate last weekend.  I fall in the “not a sandwich” side.  Let’s just say not everyone in our family agrees.  What about you?

So now the question becomes, are unicorns critters?  Mythical critters?  To this, I say yes! For this card, I used the “A Little Sparkle” set that Lawn Fawn gave away with a purchase last year.  I don’t think you can buy it, but I linked something similar below.

For the first card, I die cut four SSS Ring Frame Dies and did the old stacking routine with some Lawn Fawn glue.  Then I used the negative from the die cut as a mask and ink blended with Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.  After I glued down the die, I found the little “non-ring” parts to pop back in and cover the blending in the center so it looked like those areas had no ink.  Sneaky right?

For the second card, I really wanted to color the unicorn somehow different than my usual white body/rainbow mane and tail combo for unicorns.  So I went a kind of “my little pony” and chose pink and purple.  I used one of the leftover circles from the ring die and stamped some rays behind him.  I really need to use that set more often!

I’ll be linking these up to the Lawn Fawnatics Happy Little Critters Challenge.
