Hello friends and welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook January release! I’m so excited to share all of the projects I’ve been working since joining the team!
All new products for this release will be available for purchase on Friday January 22nd!
My first project uses the new Heartfelt Roses stamp set and Heart Frame:

My instinct was to color the roses pink or red but I decided to try something different and went with purple:

After stamping the image from Heartfelt Roses, I colored it using Copic markers:
- BV31, BV02, BV04 for the roses
- YG00, YG01, YG03, YG17 for the leaves
I then used the largest scalloped frame from the Heart Frames die set to cut out the image.
I wanted to make this a shaped card, so I used the largest die from the set to create a card base.
The sentiment is also from the Heartfelt Roses set using a banner from the Banner Trio die set. The small butterfly from the Slimline Frames and Portholes die set was cut from iridescent velum and layered over another one cut from white cardstock. Two small gems make the butterfly’s “body”.
Next up is probably my favorite project from the whole release using the Heartfelt Love stamp:

My first thought when I saw that stamp was a box of Valentine’s Day chocolate candy!

After stamping the image from Heartfelt Love, I colored it using Copic markers:
- E55, E57, E59, RV21, RV13, RV14
I then used the largest scalloped frame from the Heart Frames die set to cut out the image. I layered that over a pink heart cut using the largest frame from the same set. The “box of candy” was then glued onto a 5×5 card base with a layer of kraft cardstock.
The sentiment is also from the Heartfelt Love stamp set on a banner from the Banner Trio die set. The word MINE was colored with the same pink Copic markers used to color the hearts.
For a final touch, I added some white gel pen to each of the hearts to give it a little chocolate shine!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
