Welcome back to day 3 of the Newton’s Nook Designs April release! Today’s release is another great addition to the dog themed collection of products!

All new products for this release will be available for purchase on Friday April 23rd!

Today’s card was made using an image (and coordinating die) from the new Puppy Friends stamp set:

I was immediately drawn to the image of the puppy holding the flower in his mouth! Having a lab, I know a think or two about dogs that like to eat and hold things in their mouth! He always likes to come over to “show me” the sock he found so I think if he could pick flowers, he might peek in to give me a look (before he ate it).

I started by creating my blended background – this time I blended an area large enough to fill the die cut scalloped circle (this is the negative space from one of the dies in the Circle Frames die set). I intentionally blended it a little bit darker around the edges. I then layered the Petite Cloud stencil on top and stenciled the clouds on top (all blending was done with the same color Distress Oxide ink – Speckled Egg) .

I attached the die cut panel to the blended card base using foam adhesive.

I then stamped, colored and cut the the puppy and tucked him behind the circle. Don’t be too worried if you have to trim a little bit off of his feet to make him fit!

I finished the card by adding a sentiment from the same Puppy Friends set in the lower right hand corner of the card front.
