Welcome back to another edition of Get Cracking on Christmas! I still have green on my mind (it is my favorite color after all) so that was my focus for this months card:
I started by blending my background with a combination of Pine Needles, Lucky Clover, Cracked Pistachio. There is just a touch of Black Soot at the top and Speckled Egg at the bottom too). Once I was sure the background was dry, I heat embossed the sentiment and a few snowflakes from Season to Sparkle by Honey Bee Stamps.
I then added a stitched hillside (you could easily cut your own if you aren’t concerned about the stitching or just blend out to white on your background and not worry about adding the extra layer at all).
This snowman is from one of my favorite snowman sets, Snow Buddies (also by Honey Bee Stamps). This set is currently retiring so if you don’t already have it in your inventory, now is the time to get it! Whenever I purchase a new set with images to color, I always stamp all of them out at least once. That gives me images ready to be colored whenever I have a few extra minutes. I can then just pull from those images when I’m creating a card and focus on the design instead of taking the time to color too!
If you can, be sure to join Jenn this today at 8p ET on YouTube for this months live!
If you’re finding yourself snowed it this week, it’s the perfect time to get cracking on Christmas!!
In honor of our cold temps this week, I decided to use this “Baby It’s Cold Outside” sentiment from the Season to Sparkle stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps. I also added this little bunny (an easy to miss stamp from the Snow Buddies stamp set – also from Honey Bee) – check it out now as it’s currently being retired and is on sale!

Time for another installment of Get Cracking on Christmas! I was a little tight on time this month so I took advantage of some “card parts” I had been playing around with and was so happy with the way they worked together (I guess I have a secret obsession with pink and red for holiday cards!).
And if there’s one thing I love more than pink and red when it comes to holiday decorating, it’s vintage Christmas ornaments!
Super excited to be joining in on the Get Cracking on Christmas fun this year!
I usually create card parts in batches – like lots of inked backgrounds at one time. And if the background is blue, chances are good I’m going to stick a snowman on it at some point. Something like this:
These Honey Bee snowmen are some of my favorites! There’s just something about the expressions on their faces that I love. Although, really I don’t want it to snow. But at least he’s happy about it!
