MFT Sending Rainbows Card – October Use My Stuff Challenge

One of the fun things about concentrating on a particular manufacturer is seeing combinations of sets that you might not have ever thought of.  This is one of those cards that came together from all of the random stuff on my desk – I love those!

But the “clouds” are my favorite part – they are actually made from the tree portion of the Interactive Swing Die-namics.

I cut it from white cardstock and used a post it note to mask each of the cut outs while I ink blended with a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.  Lots of possibilities here – clouds, dirt, hills – and the die gives you an automatic little spot to tuck in images!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT Magical Dragons Birthday Card – October Use My Stuff Challenge

Happy World Card Making Day and welcome back to another installment of the Use My Stuff Challenge – if you missed my last post, I’m trying to use all of my MFT products this month.

The BB Magical Dragon set from MFT is one that my daughter picked out.  It may not have been one that I would have normally put in my cart but I love it!  Just goes to show how fun it can be to leave your comfort zone every now and then!

For this card, I masked off a center column and used Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink along with the stencil to create a background panel.  After I colored and die cut the images, I added them to the card front with foam adhesive.

The banner and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn – I thought they provided the perfect little “ground” for my images.  And a purple banner seemed kind of regal, don’t you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT Birthday Project Challenge and Kickoff of the Use My Stuff (UMS) Challenge

So you know how buying stuff can overtake using stuff?  I’ve definitely found myself in that place lately.  And because my ability to stick with a challenge is pretty short, I’m going to try giving myself a new theme each month with the ultimate goal to USE all that super cute stuff I’m buying.  I’ll be using #umschallenge on Instagram – feel free to play along!

So for this month, I’m going to try a manufacturer challenge.  My Favorite Things is the choice – partly because I received an order from them recently but mostly because their products are super cute!

See?!  Super cute!
