Welcome to my final post as  ‘Fetti Friend!  It’s been so much fun sharing with you over the last few months – I hope you enjoyed my take on this great release!

As soon as I saw the negative of the Rounded Stitched Window Confetti Cut, I knew I wanted to add velum behind it for a window card.  The wreath from the Joyous Holiday set fits perfectly!

It’s hard to see in the full picture but behind the window is an ink blended panel (I used Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink) with the All The Stars Confetti Cuts die cut from it and backed in gold glitter paper.

I added a small twine bow to complete the light, rustic look of this card.

Pumpkin WM Square

What better way to celebrate friendship than to give something that can be both a card and a gift!

Sometimes I just leave the sentiment off of the front of a card so it can double as a small piece of art when put into a frame.

I love the way the floral clusters included with this set both fit over the pumpkin image and can make a great background all on their own.  Try using a light grey or tan ink to randomly stamp the floral clusters on a plain piece of white cardstock.

After I colored and die cut both the pumpkin and floral images, I attached them to my cardbase with foam adhesive.  A little bow of twine is the perfect finishing touch!

And after the recipient has received the card, they can just add a frame with a 3.5″x 5″ mat!

Christmas Tags – Reverse Confetti October Creative Hop

Welcome to my stop in the Reverse Confetti October Creative Hop!

Christmas will be here soon so I decided to use my favorite set of this release, Joys of the Season, to create a few tags!

For the base of the tag, I used the interior of the Rounded Stitched Window Confetti Cut die.  It’s the perfect size for tags and now that piece doesn’t have to go to waste!

Starting with the candy cane tag, I used two tag bases (both cut from white card stock).  For the top, I scored about an inch from the top and then cut at an angle at the bottom.

I then attached that small flap to the top of the second tag base to create a tag that would flip open.  I also added a bit of patterned paper at the bottom of the base tag.

I finished the tag with the candy canes (which of course had a bit of sparkle added to the holly leaves!) and the cheers sentiment from Sentimentally Yours .

The second tag can double as a pocket for a gift card!  I still used two bases cut from white card stock.

I covered the base entirely with another piece of patterned paper and created a pocket from the second piece that was cut at an angle.  I used 1/8″ score tape to attach the pocket but any strong adhesive would do.

This tag was finished with the holly image and another sentiment from the Sentimentally Yours set.

Fall Wedding Card – Reverse Confetti Anything Goes

Fall Wedding WM

Bells, they’re not just for Christmas you know! This months release is perfect if you have a fall or winter wedding coming up!

For this fall-themed wedding card, I used the bell from Joys of the Season and the floral sprays from With a Thankful Heart.

I stamped and colored with Copic markers (I checked Pinterest for ideas on how to color something to look gold – for a first attempt, I don’t hate it!).  Then just die cut and attach to the card front with foam adhesive.

Wondering where that “best wishes” sentiment came from?  I’m not a girl that’s afraid to cut up her sentiments so the “best” is from Halloween Gnomes (best witches to you) and the “wishes” is from Joyous Holiday (joyous holiday wishes).  Thanks Reverse Confetti for using the same font in both sets!!

Halloween Shadowbox Card – Reverse Confetti Stock Your Stash Challenge

Welcome back!  Today I’m sharing my contribution to this months Stock Your Stash Challenge at Reverse Confetti (find all the details here).

I don’t typically send Halloween cards but maybe if what I’m sending could double as “decor” I might reconsider!

Halloween Shadowbox WM

This shadowbox card was so easy to make with the stitched window confetti cut die.  I cut down a piece of black cardstock to 5.5″ x 8.5″.  Instead of scoring at 4.25″ like you would for an A2 card, score at 3 1/4″, 4″, 7 1/4″ and 8″.  Die-cut the window from one of the 3 1/4″ sections (ideally the one that has the 3/4″ sections on either side of it).  If you want to add a greeting to the front, now is the time!

Finally, just fold it up and attach the 1/2″ side on the other 3 1/4″ side and you’ll have a shadowbox. (Wow, this sounds way more complicated than it really it!).

I then cut a piece of white cardstock to fit over the back panel and used Distress Oxide ink to blend a night sky background.

I also stamped the tree from Halloween Gnomes directly on the ink blended panel.  I used Copics to color over it.  When your panel is ready, it can be attached to the back of your shadowbox card.

Then stamp, color and cut the houses, bat, headstones and moon from Halloween Gnomes.  Attach one of the houses, headstones and moon to the back using foam adhesive.  Attach the second house to the front of the shadowbox (just scoot it down to make it look like a smaller house).  The bat is attached using a small strip of transparency.

And that’s it!  You now have a cute card that will still fit in a standard A2 envelope when folded flat and give the recipient something fun to display during the Halloween season!

Reverse Confetti September Release Blog Hop

Today’s the day!!  Be sure to head over to the Reverse Confetti store to see all of the new release products in one spot.

For today’s project, I really wanted to use that little tree from Joyous Holiday – it reminds me of the aluminum trees from A Charlie Brown Christmas so I wanted to make a very colorful card.

You could approach making this card a few different ways:

  • I used distress oxide inks and blended two similar colors on small scraps of paper and then cut them out.
  • You could also just stamp directly onto colored cardstock scraps or
  • Color the trees with your favorite coloring medium

Once the colored trees were cut out, I trimmed off their stars and pots and added white gel pen to the garland.

I then used my Misti to evenly stamp six trees and a sentiment on my card front.  Then it’s so easy to attach each tree (in rainbow order, of course) using a little foam adhesive.

September Countdown to Confetti – Day 3

Welcome back for the final day of sneak peeks!  Today’s sneaks focus on the new Joyous Holiday and Joys of the Season sets:

You know how sometimes you have an idea and when you actually try it, it works just like you planned?  Don’t you just love it when that happens?!  When I saw the All the Stars die, I wondered if I could use it on each end of a card panel and leave just a little space in the middle for a focal point image.  Worked like a charm:

This sweet little angel from Joyous Holiday snuggled right into that space in the middle.  I added some soft ink blending on the edges and backed it with gold glitter cardstock.

For my second card today, I was so excited to try out the Joys of the Season set (shhh…don’t tell any of the other sets but this one is my favorite!).  What I love about this set is how many different looks you can get from the same set.  For this card, I used gold embossing and watercolor for a vintage look.

September Countdown to Confetti – Day 2

Welcome back for day 2 of Reverse Confetti sneak peeks!  Today’s sneaks focus on the new Halloween Gnomes and With a Thankful Heart sets:

I love making these little treat boxes for holidays.  They are so easy to make from a single sheet of 6×6 paper.  If you have an envelope punch board just remember – punch and score at 2 and 4 (that’s what I say to myself as I’m making them).

Once all the boxes were assembled, it was time for the fun part – decorating!  I punched a circle and added a little ink blending to create a “base” of moons or a crystal ball.  All of the images were colored with Copics and then die cut.

Welcome to the first day of sneak peeks for the new Reverse Confetti holiday release (and my first official day posting projects as a ‘Fetti Friend)!  I was so excited when that package of goodies arrived – can’t wait to share all of it with you over the next few days!

Today’s sneaks focus on the new Peony and Sentimentally Yours stamp sets:

I also used the new Stitched Circles Cover Panel and Square Window Tag dies on today’s projects:

So when I first saw the Stitched Circles Cover Panel die, I said “self, you need to put a rainbow ink blended panel behind that”.  There was no other option.

So after I used my favorite Distress Oxdide rainbow combination, I attached the die cut panel using foam adhesive (those little spots behind the stitched circles fit them perfectly).

And as much as I love the actual peony image from the Peony set, I would have wanted that set for the leaves alone.  Take another look – there is so much you could do with them.  With all that rainbow goodness, I didn’t even need to color it!

For my second project, I decided to take a crack at no-line coloring that peony image – for a peony, it seemed doable!

Reverse Confetti – Fall is in the Air

So excited to be a ‘Fetti Friend for the next two months!  I love fall – just wish we could skip the winter part that comes after it!

I created this card by coloring and die cutting leaves from the Fall Foliage set from Reverse Confetti.  Once I painstakingly arranged them around the outside edge of my card front, I picked them all up using Press and Seal.

Keeping them all attached I trimmed 1/4″ from each edge.  I then added foam squares to the back of each leaf, held my breath, and attached them to the front of the card leaving an even margin around the edge.

The sentiment was originally a long, horizontal orientation but I have no fear of cutting up sentiments so now it can also fit perfectly in a portrait card too.
