It’s time to start a new year of Get Cracking on Christmas! Even though the Christmas season is just behind us, let’s keep that little bit of spirit alive and continue to create all year long for Christmas 2021! Hopefully, the one we get to spend with our family again!

I thought I would start by sharing some of the Christmas cards I actually made for last year (since a friend in Canada just received hers this week I *think* it’s safe to assume they have all made it to their recipients?). I made these cards in bulk (in total over 100) and I really appreciated the products that helped to make “mass-produced” cards look like they would have taken much longer than they did to finish.

Starting out with the slightly more complicated version:

This card was made with products from The Greetery (which definitely falls into my top five “if I could only buy from these companies for the rest of my life” catagory).

This particular card is 5×7 in size but I also made a very similar version in A2 and it worked just as well. I started by stenciling the greenery from the Banner & Bough Stamp and Stencil set. Such a well thought out product! I then used the coordinating stamp to add the pine branches and finished by adding some gold splatters. Backgrounds done!

I then added a wood slice using the Wood Slices die and a sentiment from the Written in Ribbons Holiday Stamp Set (both from The Greetery). It helps things go a bit quicker because there are four sentiments included in the Written in Ribbons set so they can be stamped and die cut together.

I finished with a few pine boughs from the BotaniCuts Pine Bough die set.

The card fronts were trimmed a quarter of an inch smaller than the card base before they were attached.

The second card was a bit simplier:

These cards were started with the layered pine tree stamp (Most Wonderful Time of the Year) from Picket Fence Studios. It’s a very simple, two-step stamp that was easy to line up. I then just added the same sentiments from The Greetery’s Written in Ribbons Holiday Stamp Set.

I added more gold splatters (my craft room was covered in gold splatters by the time I was done with these!) and again trimmed the card fronts down to 1/4″ smaller than the base.

Super simple!
