Hello friends! Today I am excited to be part of the 8 year anniversary celebration with Newton’s Nook Designs! To celebrate this awesome milestone, Newton’s Nook Designs has released adorable new cupcake themed products, which I will be using on my projects today. There are prizes and a sale too! Let me tell you my very favorite thing about the Newton’s Cupcake set – each of the sentiments fit right inside the cupcake! I love little touches like that!
I started by stenciling the cupcakes on a 6×6 piece of cardstock. I blended rainbow shades of ink for the wrappers and used Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink for the fluffy vanilla frosting. The sprinkles and cherries were the perfect opportunity to use those tiny little blending brushes that I never knew what to do with!
Even though it was almost painful to do, I stuck with my original plan and die cut a circle from the stenciled panel. I then attached it to my card front. After I stamped and colored the images, I added them to the panel using foam adhesive.
I finished the card with a few sequin “sprinkles.
