Hello friends and welcome to Day 4 of the Newton’s Nook August release!
All new products for this release will be available for purchase on Friday August 20th!
My first project uses the new Signs of Fall stamp set and coordinating dies:

I love this series of sign stamps and this one is no exception! So much easier than trying to mask a bunch of different images to create your own grouping.

I started by ink blending a background (Speckled Egg and Scattered Straw). I actually used some leftover pieces from my Day 2 Count Newton card to create the hills in the same way.
I then stamped falling leaves with the small image included in the Signs of Fall set. Since the ink blending was relatively light, I was able to color over the leaves using Copic markers and still get good coverage.
Once I colored and die cut the focus image, I added to the scene using foam tape.

My last project for this release uses the Heartfelt Fall stamp set:

After so much precise coloring, I decided to go a little more loose for this card.
I started by heat embossing the image in gold. I then used various colors of Distress Ink to create the watercolor effect. Just smoosh the ink pads (I used mini size but either would work) on a glass mat and spray a small amount of water on each color. I used a slightly damp brush to add color to each leaf. Don’t worry about staying in the lines!

I added a sentiment from the same set on a banner from the Banner Trio die set and called it done! Nice and simple!

Would you like to win the “Signs of Fall” or the “Fall Roundabout” Stamp Set? We will choose ONE lucky winner for each stamp set!
