Newton’s Nook Designs January Release and Giveaway – Day 2

Welcome back for another day of releases from Newton’s Nook! I think you’ll be smitten with today’s products!

All new products for this release will be available for purchase on Friday January 22nd!

Today’s card was made using images from the new Smitten Kittens stamp set:

So these kittens look to have longer fur than the traditional “Newton” cat so I decided to color them like my friends Maine Coon cats. Is it just me, or do you have to color cats and dogs to look like pets you know in real life too?

I started by using the new Slimline Masking Square stencils to create three little scenes. I layered the Cloud stencil over it for the sky portion and then added grass from the Land Borders die set to finish the squares.

I colored the kittens using E41, E42, E43 and E44 Copic markers.

I added foam adhesive to the kittens and attached them to the card front. I finished with a sentiment from the same set and a few hearts above the kitten couple.

  19. We are a family of cat lovers (though I favor my dog) This adorable set would become well used with me!! Love Sam’s coloring (we need a gray Maine coon version…)
